SolveSnap ("SolveSnap", "we", "us") is operated by Ham Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains what information the SolveSnap mobile app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built SolveSnap to need as little personal data as possible — there are no user accounts.

1. Information we process

Questions, chats, and study material you submit

When you use SolveSnap's AI features, the content you provide is sent securely to our service, which uses third-party artificial-intelligence providers to generate the result. Depending on the feature, that content can include: photos of questions you scan or import, questions you type, your messages in the AI Tutor chat (and the solution they refer to), study material you paste, photograph, or import as a PDF, a lecture transcript you ask to summarize, plus your chosen subject hint and language. This content is processed to generate your solutions, tutor replies, and study materials, and is not used to build a profile of you.

Microphone and lecture recording

The lecture-notes feature uses your device's built-in speech-recognition service to create a live transcript on your device. SolveSnap never uploads, receives, or stores your audio. If you later ask for an AI summary or study set, the transcript text is sent like other submitted content — never the recording. The microphone is only active while you are recording, and speech recognition is performed by your device's operating system (Apple or Google) according to your device settings.

Study reminders

Optional weekly study reminders are scheduled locally on your device and can be turned off in Settings at any time. No reminder data leaves your device.

A random device identifier

The app generates a random identifier stored on your device. We use it to count your free daily solves and to apply rate limits. It is not your name, email, or advertising ID, and it is not linked to your real-world identity.

App-integrity signals

To confirm requests come from the genuine SolveSnap app and to prevent abuse, the app may send attestation tokens provided by Apple App Attest (iOS) or Google Play Integrity (Android). These tokens verify the app and device, not who you are.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Premium, the transaction is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We may receive a purchase receipt to confirm your subscription status. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Technical and log data

Our servers automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address and request metadata, which we use for security, rate limiting, and reliability. Logs are kept only as long as needed for these purposes.

2. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your submitted questions to serve you advertising.

4. Data retention

Submitted content — questions, tutor chats, and study material — is processed to generate your result and is not retained for profiling. Operational logs are retained only for as long as necessary for security and reliability and are then deleted or anonymized. The random device identifier remains on your device until you delete the app or clear its data.

5. Children's privacy

SolveSnap is a study tool intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app does not require any personal details to use. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country, please use SolveSnap with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or teacher. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We use app attestation and rate limiting to protect the service from abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.

7. Your rights

Because SolveSnap has no accounts and collects minimal personal data, we typically hold little or no information that identifies you. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
